Diddy Responds To Lil' Kim

In an interview with BBC's Tim Westwood this past Friday, Diddy responded to Lil' Kim's recent disses towards him for aligning himself with Nicki Minaj. While performing "It's All About the Benjamins" at a show in Baltimore, Lil' Kim taunted Diddy, saying, "Ay, Puffy should be ashamed of his fuckin' self!" Although Diddy makes it clear it's still love between he and the Kim, he's not going to apologize for working with the budding Young Money star.

"I love Lil' Kim," said the Bad Boy CEO. "I'm sorry that she's mad. I never would have thought that by me working with another artist that she would take it the wrong way. But if she's taking it the wrong way, it ain't meant like that. Nicki never did anything to her...she ain't trying to swagger-jack or say nothing negative about her, and I just think that Kim needs to just understand that Nicki as a whole...has always been respectful of her and Nicki's not trying to be her...we're riding with Nicki and we're still riding with Kim...that love ain't never going to change no matter what she says or what she feels...[but] I ain't gonna make no apologies for working with Nicki Minaj."
The controversy surrounding the Queen Bee and the Barbie began when Kim addressed Minaj's style and music in a interview with Kendra G, saying, "...if you're gonna swagger jack somebody and take their style, at least pay the respect and the homage."
In related news, Diddy announced that the release date for his latest album Last Train to Paris has been pushed back. The album, which heavily features Diddy' group Dirty Money, was initially supposed arrive this June 29. The new official release date is now September 20.

Hip-Hop Icon Diddy Believes Grime Can Invade The U.S.

Rap star Diddy has said he believes British hip-hop is "on the verge of breaking" in the US charts.

The rapper, formerly known as P Diddy and Puff Daddy, has worked with UK acts Tinie Tempah, Chipmunk and Skepta.
"I've always been abreast and respected the UK hip-hop scene and I look forward to great things," he said.
After enjoying unprecedented success at home over the past two years, some UK urban artists are beginning to make inroads in the US.
Jay Sean and Taio Cruz have both scored number one singles in the US in recent months - the first male UK urban artists to reach the top spot. Both were helped by guest spots from established US stars.
In the UK, nine number one singles have been by homegrown hip-hop acts since May 2009, most by artists that have emerged from the east London grime scene. Tinie Tempah is on course to score the tenth this Sunday.

Eminem Announces Album Name Change Via Twitter

In a Tweet made through Eminem’s Twitter account, the rapper (or his people) announced that there will be no Relapse 2.

“There is no Relapse 2,” said the straight-forward Tweet.
The announcement made via Twitter of course sparked talk that there will be no album at all. It appears that the Twitter update is only significant of a name change for the album.
Relapse 2 was expected to be the follow-up album for last year’s Relapse.
Just last month a Tweet was made from that same account stating, “And don't worry. Some big news is coming. Soon.”
And earlier this month producer Just Blaze spoke to MTV about Eminem’s work on Relapse 2.
“He’s really back spitting,” Just Blaze explained to MTV, reports BeatCrave.com. “The wordplay is crazy, the metaphors are crazy. He’s really back on his game. He had his ups, he had his downs, he’s back way, way, way up. This is definitely going to be up there with the best of his albums, for sure, for sure. The fact that he’s branched out working with a lot of different people now, collaborating in a lot of different ways that he never has before, I think he’s going to surprise a lot of people.”
In a press statement, it was announced that Eminem's seventh major label studio album will feature collaborations with DJ Khalil, Just Blaze, Jim Jonsin, Boi-1da and others.
“I had originally planned for Relapse 2 to come out last year,” explained Eminem. “But as I kept recording and working with new producers, the idea of a sequel to Relapse started to make less and less sense to me, and I wanted to make a completely new album. The music
on Recovery came out very different from Relapse, and I think it deserves its own title.”
The album is due in stores on June 22 of this year.

Nicki Minaj Fires Waka Flocka's Mother As Her Manager

Young Money's first lady Nicki Minaj has fired her manager Debra Antney, who is also the mother of rapper Waka Flocka Flame.

According to Waka Flocka's mother, the news came when she received a series of letters, banning her from doing business with Minaj. "I received a letter, which was [a] suspension," said Antney in a recent interview. "The next letter that came in was a cease and desist in doing all business with Nicki Minaj from Nicki's attorney."
Unbeknownst to Antney as to why she had been fired, admits that she holds no grudges regardless of the rapper's decision. "I love Nicki. I wish her the most success. It's not about the music, she's like one of my children," she continued, "I wish her no harm, only much success."
Debra Antney is currently Gucci Mane's manager and CEO of So Icey/Mizay Entertainment, an Asylum/Warner Bros affiliate.
Aside from firing her manager, Nicki Minaj has also recently cancelled her leg of the nationwide tour with Rihanna. She recently issued an apology on Twitter, "Barbz I'm sorry 2 say I will not be going out on RiRi's tour. I've decided 2 use that time 4 the completion of my album. Hope u understand." 50 Cent On Next Album & New G-Unit

50 Cent recently took the time to discuss his upcoming plans with MTV News, including his upcoming album Black Magic.
"I don't believe in voodoo," said Fif, denying that the album has anything to do with the occult. "But it'll be very addictive. The first time you'll hear it, you'll remember the songs that's on there. It's designed for fun — for listening pleasure.
The G-Unit general says he hopes to release the album by the end of summer, and that he is in no rush to conclude the recording process. "If I don't feel it's ready by the end of the summer, I'll just jeep it."
50 also spoke about his summer tour, revealing that he would likely not be bringing G-Unit mainstays Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo with him. "Banks has momentum with the first single off his new album, 'Beamer, Benz or Bentley.' So he'll be out [on his own tour] with H.F.M. 2 (The Hunger For More 2). While he's doing that, it probably wouldn't make sense for Yayo to come with me because his record is almost done now — he should use that time to complete his record and release it shortly after. But I'll be running arund."
But while Banks and Yayo might not be joining him, 50 did explain that he is in the process of recruiting new members to the group, which has in the past included Young Buck, Olivia and The Game.
Interestingly enough, 50 listed Twilight sensation Robert Pattinson as a potential member. "He has a big enough following to be the frontline," laughed 50. "Twilight ain't no joke."

Taio Cruz Teams Up With Ke$ha for new single

Taio Cruz has taken America by storm as his debut US single 'Break Your Heart' has vaulted to # 1 on the US iTunes chart today. This is an astonishing achievement for the multi-talented artist/writer/super producer as the single is his first release in the United States.
The success of 'Break Your Heart' follows hard on the heels of the recent US success of Island /Cash Money’s Jay Sean, whose single 'Down' topped the US Billboard chart in October 2009. 'Break Your Heart', which was recently nominated for a Brit Award, entered the UK singles chart at no. 1 where it remained for 3 weeks.
Now Taio sets his sights on the UK chart once more with the release of his brand new single 'Dirty Picture' featuring the red-hot miss Tik Tok herself Ke$ha. Ever the keen talent scout Taio invited Ke$ha onto the track long before she broke through in the US, and the resulting presciently titled song has been one of the most cherry-picked on Cruz’s acclaimed second album 'Rokstarr'. The pair have just shot a suitably (in)appropriate video for the track.

A remix of 'Dirty Picture' featuring DRAKE, the hottest rapper in the US right now, will be available shortly.

Nicki Minaj Talks Skipping Out On XXL's Freshmen '10

Nicki Minaj recently revealed to MTV.com the reason she and fellow Young Money artist Drake decided not to participate in XXL magazine's Freshmen 2010 issue, which highlights up-and-coming talent in the rap game.

"Drake and I, we love XXL," said Minaj on the set of her video for the song "Massive Attack."

"We just shot for XXL. With all due respect, we felt like we kinda had graduated from the freshman class. We felt that XXL missed the mark when they didn't put us on the cover prior to that. They have to pay for that. They can't say, 'Hey, get on the next one.' But we love XXL. That's like a Hip Hop classic. So we said, 'Can we have something just a little bit more catered to us, so that we feel like we have still grown as artists, so we're not at all disrespecting the magazine?' They were cool with that."

Minaj insists that she and Drake were cordial about the request, and that the magazine took no issue with it.

As such, the Freshmen 2010 group consisted of OJ Da Juiceman, Nipsey Hussle, Jay Rock, Pill, Donnis, Fashawn, J. Cole, Wiz Khalifa, Freddie Gibbs and Big Sean

According to the Macon-Telegraph, the rapper, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds in a robbery attempt just months ago, is being held in the Houston County Jail.
Flocka, real name Juaquin James Malphurs, received probation for possession of a sawed-off shotgun. In addition, one of his recent concerts ended in violence, leaving eight men shot, but not in life-threatening condition.
Currently, his single, "O Let's Do It," is at No. 80 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Snoop Dogg To Perform At Glastonbury Festival

It’s been less than a week since Snoop Dogg won his battle to enter the UK and the rapper is already being courted for one of the country’s biggest and oldest festivals.

Michael Eavis, organizer of the Glastonbury Festival, revealed that he is working hard to bring Snoop Dogg to the festival this year.

According to Eavis, his daughter Emily is a huge fan of Snoop Dogg.

Emily was also responsible for booking Jay-Z into a headlining act in 2008, a move which drew criticism from a few artists, most notably Oasis front man Noel Gallagher.

"She's a bright girl and she is very keen on Snoop Dogg doing the show, so we want him,” Eavis told the UK’s Sun newspaper. "Her real claim to fame is booking Jay-Z. She came up with the idea, so I phoned his manager. At the end of a 40-minute chat he said Jay-Z would do the show, and the rest is history."

Snoop Dogg was banned from the UK in 2006, after his entourage became involved in a brawl with airport security, when they were denied access to a first class area of the airport.

The rapper, who was also banned from Australia, won his appeal to enter the UK last week after several appeals during a four-year court battle to re-enter the country.

The singer said he expects to release his first Interscope album this year, and said that his decision not to sign with Young Money had a lot to do with the fact that he would remain at Universal Motown.

LUDACRIS ENDS FEUD WITH BILL O'REILLY

Atlanta rapper Ludacris and Fox TV talking head Bill O’Reilly ended their feud at recent event they both attended.

Ludacris confronted The O’Reilly Factor host when he noticed O’Reilly’s name on a guest list for the event.

"The first thing I said to him was, 'I want to meet the guy who has had so much to say about me, but knows absolutely nothing about me'," Ludacris told RadarOnline.com. "I identified that I wanted to speak to him when I saw his name on the guest list. I looked at what table he was on, and I walked my a** straight to that table.”

Ludacris said that O’Reilly wasn’t expecting to see him and that when he saw the rapper approaching, the look on his face was “priceless.”

The rapper explained that he had conversation with O’Reilly, who has frequently attacked Hip-Hop lyrics.

In 2002, O’Reilly helped get Ludacris dumped as a spokesman for Pepsi, after he ordered his viewers to boycott the soft drink maker for hiring the rapper.

"The conversation we had was confidential, however, let's just say it was a good conversation and good came out of it,” Ludacris told RadarOnline.

The pair even teamed up for a charity event recently, but it was kept a secret.

Snoop Dogg wins legal fight against ban from Britain
- But UK Border Agency could yet appeal
Friday, 5th March 2010

SNOOP DOGG has scored a victory over the British immigration authorities, paving the way for the hip-hop star to tour the UK.

Orginally banned from Britain in 2007 after his entourage got into a fight at Heathrow airport, Snoop Dogg has since been involved in a ding-dong legal battle with Immigration.

In the latest round, judges ruled that officials were wrong to slap the ban on Snoop Dogg and he has now been handed the chance to apply for a visa.

But that's not the end of it as those officials could yet appeal.

"We are studying the determination carefully and will take a decision on whether to appeal," said a spokesperson for the UK Border Agency

Dubstep is a genre of electronic dance music that has its roots in London's early 2000s UK garage scene. Musically, dubstep is distinguished by its 2-step rhythm, or use of snare sounds similar to 2-step garage and grime, and an emphasis on bass, often producing "dark" sounds, but just as frequently producing sounds reminiscent of dub reggae or funky US garage.
