Diddy Responds To Lil' Kim

In an interview with BBC's Tim Westwood this past Friday, Diddy responded to Lil' Kim's recent disses towards him for aligning himself with Nicki Minaj. While performing "It's All About the Benjamins" at a show in Baltimore, Lil' Kim taunted Diddy, saying, "Ay, Puffy should be ashamed of his fuckin' self!" Although Diddy makes it clear it's still love between he and the Kim, he's not going to apologize for working with the budding Young Money star.

"I love Lil' Kim," said the Bad Boy CEO. "I'm sorry that she's mad. I never would have thought that by me working with another artist that she would take it the wrong way. But if she's taking it the wrong way, it ain't meant like that. Nicki never did anything to her...she ain't trying to swagger-jack or say nothing negative about her, and I just think that Kim needs to just understand that Nicki as a whole...has always been respectful of her and Nicki's not trying to be her...we're riding with Nicki and we're still riding with Kim...that love ain't never going to change no matter what she says or what she feels...[but] I ain't gonna make no apologies for working with Nicki Minaj."
The controversy surrounding the Queen Bee and the Barbie began when Kim addressed Minaj's style and music in a interview with Kendra G, saying, "...if you're gonna swagger jack somebody and take their style, at least pay the respect and the homage."
In related news, Diddy announced that the release date for his latest album Last Train to Paris has been pushed back. The album, which heavily features Diddy' group Dirty Money, was initially supposed arrive this June 29. The new official release date is now September 20.

Hip-Hop Icon Diddy Believes Grime Can Invade The U.S.

Rap star Diddy has said he believes British hip-hop is "on the verge of breaking" in the US charts.

The rapper, formerly known as P Diddy and Puff Daddy, has worked with UK acts Tinie Tempah, Chipmunk and Skepta.
"I've always been abreast and respected the UK hip-hop scene and I look forward to great things," he said.
After enjoying unprecedented success at home over the past two years, some UK urban artists are beginning to make inroads in the US.
Jay Sean and Taio Cruz have both scored number one singles in the US in recent months - the first male UK urban artists to reach the top spot. Both were helped by guest spots from established US stars.
In the UK, nine number one singles have been by homegrown hip-hop acts since May 2009, most by artists that have emerged from the east London grime scene. Tinie Tempah is on course to score the tenth this Sunday.
